NASA. Apollo 12 mission. About a decade after the accomplishment of the Apollo 11 mission, NASA produced new photographic prints of the Apollo missions, and in particular of humankind’s first steps on the Moon. Thanks to new technologies for working from negatives, a new generation of very high-quality images was released, bringing the legendary Apollo missions back to life. Here, a superb view of the Apollo 12 lunar module, with on the right the first terrestrial flower planted by humankind on the Moon: a powerful communications antenna with Earth. These official images are now quite rare and are highly sought after by collectors. July 20, 1969.
